Soft pastel chalks are created by mixing pure pigment with soft chalk and a binder. They are applied as a drawing medium to a "toothed" paper.
I love the vibrancy and strong colours of soft pastel, although I treat the pastels harshly.
I and use quick and heavy sketching and strong mark making, and loose scribbling techniques to lay down the colours. There is no soft blending here! Soft pastel works stand alone as unique art works, and they translate well into prints. Images "out of sock "have been sold but are available as print in a number of sizes (see the print gallery)
